To have DMV Forms Requiring Notarization, Vehicle Title Transfers, Bill of Sale, U.S. Passport Consent Forms, Immigration-Related Affidavits (no legal advice provided), or Federal, State, and Local Government Formsnotarized, please bring the following:
1. Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
- Driver’s license
- State ID card
- Passport or passport card
- Military ID
The name on the ID must match the name on the document.
2. Completed Document
- Documents must be fully completed with no blank spaces (except for signature lines)
- Do not sign ahead of time unless instructed by the notary
- Include any required notarial wording for acknowledgment or jurat
3. All Signers Must Be Present
- Every person whose signature will be notarized must appear in person
- Each signer must present their own valid photo ID
- No remote or absent signers
4. Payment for Notary Services
- Alabama allows $10.00 per notarized signature
- Additional fees may apply for printing, copying, or mobile services if requested
